The Four Laws Compass · two minutes
Make the next promise smaller
A small honest promise is better than a grand promise you cannot carry.
Try this now
- List what is urgent, what can wait, and what is not yours to carry. If everything feels urgent, choose one essential need first.
- Reduce one responsibility to its smallest useful version: one dish, one paragraph, one call, one clear request for help.
- Finish or consciously renegotiate that small promise. Rest is allowed; limited capacity is not a moral failure.
A question to carry: What would enough look like for the next ten minutes?
How the Four Laws work together
Peace grows through Discipline and Tolerance, not self-punishment. Harm None includes your limits. Love More allows help, Fear Less loosens perfectionism, and Live Free permits a deliberate no.
